Thermowood Radiata is offered 4 sides clear, providing a timber that is defect free in an attractive pine product that is harvested in New Zealand. The Pine is modified using only heat and steam so no harmful chemicals are introduced to the timber. The process naturally increases the durability and stability of the product. Coatings can be applied to the cladding to maintain the colour or alter the appearance of the cladding. If left uncoated the cladding will weather to a silvery grey over time.
The second image shows the thermowood oiled using Osmo UV Oil to give its a lovely darker appearance and bringing out the grain.
