Knauf Wallboard is standard plasterboard to meet all drylining requirements.
Made from aerated gypsum core, with premium paper liners on either side. Ideally suited to receive a Knauf spray applied finish or Knauf Jointing Finishes before being decorated.
Areas of Application
Suitable as a lining board for wall and ceilings systems with limited fire and acoustic requirements. Wallboard is not suitable for high humidity areas.
Application / Installation
Typically installed as a part of a partition system, wall lining and ceiling system with Knauf fixings, jointing, taping and finishing products.
Use Knauf plasterboard screws at a distance of 300mm on horizontal joints and 10mm from bound edge and 13mm from unbound edges in from the edge of the board. Knauf Jointing Compounds with Knauf Paper Joint Tape can be used to finish the joints followed by Knauf Wallboard Primer prior to decoration. Knauf Ready Mix Airless Finishes (RMF), can be spray applied to the board following the jointing process.
No Wallboard Primer would be required if using RMF to finish. Should an alternative Gypsum or surface finish be required, seek guidance from the supplier on application.
The type and number of layers of board used will influence the structural, fire, acoustic and thermal performance of the system. All products must be installed in accordance with Knauf's recommendations and the current recommendations of BS 8000-8 2023. Additional Document
